What is a Chit Fund?
It is an official contract that binds the participants who freely join and the foreman, who is acting in the capacity of the Promoter. A set of members to this system systematically donate a predetermined sum every month for a SPECIFIED DURATION, operating as a FINANCIAL MECHANISM.
The subscribers get access to the collected monies every month through AUCTIONS, wherein they put bids for the maximum DISCOUNT. The winning bidder, subject to necessary security procedures, is awarded the PRIZE AMOUNT. It is also required that a Prized subscriber to keep paying their subscription fees until the end of the chit. Subsequently, the subscribers receive DIVIDENDS, which are the remaining fraction of the discount less the foreman’s compensation.
